Frequently Asked Questions

Relationship & intimacy coaching is a good fit for smart people who are ready for a more body-based approach to learning and growth. You get to talk openly about your desires AND develop your confidence through experience.
The heart of my coaching practice is about supporting you to develop somatic awareness through having experiences of connection to your body. “Soma” is the Greek word for body. Somatic describes a person’s inner sensational experience and relates to the body, emotions, and sensations as a whole and interrelated system.
Similar to what you might have practiced in yoga or movement meditation, somatic awareness is about connecting with your internal experience of yourself. Relationship & intimacy coaching supports you to become more aware of your body, more connected to your desires, and more understanding of how you are in your intimate relationships.
Coaching sessions might involve role play, getting to be witnessed as you feel your feelings, or other opportunities for you to connect with your body, emotions, and desires. You decide how sessions go and what feels right. Together we’ll explore what you need to feel more connected to yourself.
While everyone’s journey with coaching is different, two-way touch may become part of the practice ground for genuine relating. This is always at your choice and in service to your learning process and identified goals.
All sessions are clothes-on sessions and you get to explore at your pace.

I began my teaching journey back in 2011 when I became a yoga instructor and massage therapist. That same year, I participated in my first weekend-long intensive workshop at Cleo Dubois’ Academy of SM Arts ™. In the years following, I volunteered at The Academy of SM Arts and volunteered as a demo and assistant for other workshops.
In 2021, I became a relationship & intimacy coach after I trained at the Somatica Institute ™ for sex and relationship coaching in 2019 and 2021. My coaching style stems from the various teachers I have had over the years as well as my own erotic practices and personal life experiences. Over the last decade, I have participated in many courses and trainings related to:
Emotional and sexual intimacy
Body connection and somatic practices
Erotic self expression and erotic confidence
Kink, BDSM, and power dynamics
Yoga for pelvic floor
Partner yoga
Trauma-informed yoga
I’ve taken courses with powerful educators like Midori, Marcia Baczynski, Dr. Allison Ash, and Anton Fulmen. My couple's work is informed by The Gottman Method and the work of Betty Martin and The Wheel of Consent ™. My individual’s work is informed by Kristen Neff and her research about self-compassion.
I’ve read hundreds of books about sex and relationships. Three books I love to recommend are: Polysecure by Jessica Fern, Come As You Are by Dr. Emily Nagoski, and Somatics for Rope Bottoms by Natasha Nawataneko.
I am committed to continuously learning, growing, and gaining new skills.

Similar to therapy, I listen as you share your feelings and express your hopes and desires. Sometimes you don’t know what you want until you talk things through or have an experience that you can learn from. I am here to witness you and support you on your journey.
One key difference between therapy and relationship & intimacy coaching is that I provide you with opportunities for experiential learning. While everyone’s coaching journey is different, you may be offered opportunities for two-way touch within the container of the coaching session. This is always at your choice and in service to your identified learning goals.
You might want a shoulder to cry on or to be held; I’m here for you. Or perhaps you want to learn how to be more dominant or assertive as a lover; I can help you practice. You might want a couples experience where I guide you towards sharing intimately in a new way; I’ve got you.
While I strive to be trauma informed, a therapist is specifically licensed to evaluate your mental health and will be a better fit if you are in crisis or want support navigating trauma. Coaching is not a replacement for therapy.

No. Relationship & intimacy coaching is educational in nature and ALL sessions are clothes-on sessions.
